Disposition:
Logical: Logic is the way of life for Vulcans. Others may call them robots, or emotionless, but that is far from the truth. The defining factor is that ultimately logic overrules all. A vulcan does not act without reason and will always seek the most logical path, whether that is to achieve a certain result or to weigh the probabilities between different outcomes. it is this nature which also allows them to remain focused and calm in serious, tense situations where ordinarily panic may set in for other species. Because of this his decisions or comments can come across as cold, but when questioned on it he will always be willing to provide reasoning as to why he chose that action.
Emotional: To many humans Spock may come across as unemotional but this is the opposite for Vulcans, which is why this deserves its own spot. Being the child of a Vulcan father and Human mother, Spock was frequently bullied as a child as his Vulcan peers would attempt to elicit an emotion out of him. He eventually became enraged when they insulted his mother, getting into a physical fight with them. Later on Kirk intentionally provokes Spock into attacking him and making him recognize that he has been emotionally compromised, but interestingly this advice was given to him by Spock Prime himself- although this Spock has not yet realised it, his older self knew that he would be feeling a torrid of emotions due to the destruction of his planet. The major focus of his character throughout the films is him coming to terms with that human side of him, acknowledging the emotions he feels and how some times, that can overrule logic.
Half human, Half vulcan: Just a summary of the above two points. They are the major core to his character and often the source of confliction as he attempts to come to terms with being a child of two very different worlds. Spock had planned to go through with a Vulcan ritual which purged any remaining emotion, and worried that his mother would take offence at it. Ultimately he does not go through with it once he realizes that the Vulcan people see him as disadvantaged due to having a human mother. Spock could also not understand why his father would marry a human, and believed that it was simply logical due to him being a human ambassador. It is not until speaking with his father as an adult that he learned the truth- they married out of love.
Intelligent: Vulcans in general display a high intelligence when compared to humans, and Spock is no different. He excels in the sciences and mathematics, and also has a photographic memory. His memory in general is excellent and he is able to recall information with ease. The original Spock was also known to be extremely knowledgeable with the more artistic and philosophical side of Vulcan culture, and while it is not touched upon with the movies you could infer that he shares the same ambition. Knowledge is knowledge, after all.
Suitability: Spock is actually rather suitable for Noctium despite his personality! The human and emotional side of him is something he has yet to fully come to terms with and this setting will let him explore that. It is all based on the sharing of emotions and affection after all!
Additionally despite being here and not on his ship he will still take their work very seriously. I'm sure most people have heard the iconic Star Trek line by now-
Spock is still fully committed to Starfleet's mission and while not here in an official capacity he will seek knowledge on the natives of this world and its culture, as well as with all the other inhabitants brought in alongside him.
Condition upon arrival: Perfect health!
Abilities:
Vulcan: Vulcans are said to be roughly three times superior to humans when it comes to most attributes such as strength, intelligence, and endurance. They can deal with higher temperatures and lower oxygenation than humans, and have more sensitive hearing, as examples.
Telepath: Vulcans are touch telepaths. With direct contact they can read the participating party and gain insight on their emotions and thoughts.
Mind-Meld: A stronger version of their regular telepathy. They can meld minds with their participant and essentially share the same mind while it is active. This allows them to share their own memories, or experience the memories of another. However it needs significant concentration and a certain amount of compatibility with the other person in order to perform it correctly.
Combat: As a Starfleet Commander Spock has battle experience in hand to hand combat as well as with a weapon. He can also use the Vulcan nerve pinch (note I dont remember its actual name..) where fingers are pressed into certain points of the neck and shoulder in order to knock someone unconscious.
Inventory: His communicator (which will not work) and his scanning device (which can give basic information such as read vital signs, a basic chemical composition of an object, etc). A phaser, set to stun.
Gembond: Sapphire
Gem Location: On his chest underneath the Starfleet insignia on his uniform. It is also the same shape as it!
